Description

There is low social activity, poor public trust and disbelief in ability to influence social and political processes in the country. The NGO's financing and administrative capacity are insufficient to ensure its sustainable development. The project will help to expand activities of the organization to promote development of civil society. The project activities will build awareness about civil society, activate local governments and NGOs in creating real opportunities to participate in public activities, promote participation of disadvantaged persons in civil society. The project will provide trainings for NGO members, young people and adults, provide legal consultations, hold a conference, seminars and debates among NGO representatives, citizens, politicians, representatives of the European cooperation network and set up a formal coalition of Latgale region NGOs. Summary of project results

The aim of the Project was to effectively use already attached resources, as well as expand and strengthen the activities of the organization to promote development of civil society. The aim was successfully achieved by implementing work plans 2013, 2014 and 2015. Project target group were employees, members of NGO’s, as well as various papulation groups. Project objectives were government and non-governmental organizations in creation strengthening, activate local society, extend the knowledge and skills of young people by promoting the formation of positive attitude to life in civil society. The target group was 8 staff of NGO, 95 members of NGO, 63 volunteers of NGO, as well as 327 youths, 132 adults and 32 seniors. Venue was in Latvia and especially Latgale region. The project activities engaged around 4500-5000 local residents. During the project were provided juridical consultative, organized 6 seminars, 1 conference, 1 training course, 5 thematic seminars, trainings and youth exchanges. As the result the project was set up a formal coalition of Latgale region NGOs. In the end of the project was organized seminar of result evaluation and final conference.
