Description

The project's goal is to increase the competitiveness of environmentally friendly companies, including the application of green solutions in existing traditional manufacturing companies by using green innovation and entrepreneurship. The intention is to purchase a "Donuts“ forming-proofing, cooking and refrigeration equipment. It also includes starting of a new production. With the funding, JSC "Eurobagetas" will purchase modern environmental equipment, which could help to reduce air pollution, industrial water waste and industrial production waste. The implementation of the project will allow improve innovation in the country´s food industry. It will gradually enable the company to protect the environment and minimize the use of energy and production waste. In the long run, it is likely to increase the Lithuanian food industries' international competitiveness, bringing added value and new work places as well as innovative technologies.

Summary of project results

JSC ,, Eurobagetas '' from 2014 years is aiming to enter into market of bakery products, fresh pastry the preparation of bakers and cakes in manufacture in Lithuania and abroad. Before the project implementation the company's situation in real estate market did not not supply of future of big achievements: a limited enter to the foreign market, unstable market situation, the big number of competitors stop the company‘s expansion, income growth. The company implemented the project „JSC „Eurobagetas“ Increasing Business Competitiveness“, intended to buy production equipment – Donuts forming-raising equipment. While implementing the project, the company could buy a modern, innovative in Lithuanian scale, environmental equipment, which could help to reduce air pollution, industrial water waste and industrial production waste. Implementation of the project allowed: to contribute to innovation in the food industry in Lithuania; to contribute to the ‘’green company’’ in order to protect the environment, to minimize the use of energy, to minimize the production waste; to contribute to increase the Lithuanian food industry internationally competitiveness, what will encourage all Lithuanian economic growth; to increase the added value of production and create new working places; to introduce new innovative technologies and new quality of standards; to contribute to an environmentally friendly company increases. During first phase of the Project implementation equipment for forming and lifting doughnuts was purchased and installed. After receiving funding for additional activities, company purchased and installed equipment for cooking and refrigeration system. The equipment and technology purchased are the most innovative, greenest and most modern currently used by doughnut producing companies in Western Europe. Such technology has not yet been used by food production companies in Lithuania due to its high cost and the relatively small size of the Lithuanian market. Thanks to the acquisition of this manufacturing technology, the company will be on a par for production quality and capacity with European doughnut producers. The equipment will enable the company to produce frozen Donut products of higher quality, more efficiently and at a somewhat lower cost, and to economise on raw materials. It will also create conditions for reducing electrical energy requirements.
