Description

Two methodologies will be created in an interactive workshops and a programme for teachers on children’s financial literacy teaching will be translated, adapted to Lithuanian context and edited for immediate use. The project will held capacity building activities for teachers and specialists working with educative and administrative personnel from educational centers in Trakai and 5 Lithuanian regions. The project will implement a cascade training principle, where trained specialists will become trainers for trainers, then will disseminate their know how in 5 regions among the specialists communities, those specialists then will be able to train teachers working directly with kids or organizing administratively such programmes implementation in schools and non-formal educational centers or NGO‘s. The projects direct target group is: project applicant and partner’s personnel, specialists from 5 regions working with adult’s life-long learning and teaching personnel qualification. The indirect target group is other specialist from other training centers from 5 Lithuanian regions. The final beneficiaries are pre-school and school age pupils from formal and unformal educational institution. The main output of the project is the following: (1) Practical guide for trainers „ how to organise financial literacy programmes implementation for kids“ in formal and informal pre-school and school institutions; (2) Translated and adapted financial literacy programme for kid‘s AFLATOOt and AFLATOON (3) Practical guide „ how to organise an efficient educational project management and search for alternative sources of financing“ (4) Training sessions for trainers on regional basis, which will ensure project implementation on national level and spread the projects results all around Lithuania. The continuity of the capacity building on project basis will ensure the project results viability after the project end.

Summary of project results

The project was implemented by the Trakai Educational Centre, the Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences and Lithuanian Children’s Fund and was designed to improve professional competences of adults working in the educational sector by preparing in an interactive way new modern teaching methods and tools for adult’s lifelong learning (manuals for teachers) and primary and secondary training programme (new programme for kid‘s financial literacy).
