Summary of project results

The project needs were the negative prejudices against homeless people and refugees. The fragmentation of the society is strong, but we could find the contrary: the solidarity and volunteerism. The long-term goal of our project was to reduce prejudice against the homeless people and refugees, the short-term objectives was to recruit new volunteers and involve them to our works. The organisation can maintain the result, because the volunteer database was created, and new cooperation’s were established. The most important effect of the project was to find new volunteers and we could involve them to the work of our and partner organizations, as well. The main activity of the application was to create a spectacular action week. In this time the partner organisations improved the living conditions of hundreds of people from disadvantaged groups. During the project we organised special meetings for homeless people and we could recognize their real needs. The main benefit was the project, that we could increase the interest and support towards the work of the organizations and we reached tens of thousands people.
