Description

Running and managing a Family Daycare Centre means many obligatory administrative tasks for both the runner and the authorities. Since 2011 Family Daycare Centers can be operated in networks, although because of the lacks of the regulation, the advantages of networks cannot prevail. The networks lack the cooperation and the knowledge – transfer. The main objective of the project is to elaborate a useful professional material that gives the centers guidance in methodological and organizational questions. In order to prepare and realize this methodical booklet of unified expectations the project promoter will map the advantages and possible barriers/problems and collect best practices with the help of experts and the concerned centers, organizations. Professional proposals will be prepared in workshops and will be presented in order to influence the policy. Summary of project results

Running and managing a Family Daycare Centre means many obligatory administrative tasks for both the operator and the authorities. Since 2011 Family Daycare Centers can be operated in networks, although because of the lacks of the regulation, the advantages of networks cannot prevail. The networks lack the cooperation and the knowledge – transfer. The main objective of the project was to elaborate a useful professional material that gives the centers guidance in methodological and organizational questions. During the implementation, the project promoter elaborated a situation analysis in which several interviews were done with relevant and concerned professionals. Based on this knowledge a professional protocol was elaborated in order to inform the relevant authorities about the current problems and the recommendations. Not only the interviewed professionals could express their opinions but every relevant person as an online questionnaire was edited – whose results were summarized and considered to be involved in the protocol. The project promoter proved that operating in a network is advantageous in financial and professional respects. Even the Ministry of Human Resources had a meeting in which they expressed the support towards this kind of networking. 53 organizations participated in the project, 18 local governments responded to the inquiry, 2 professional days were organized and instead of the planned 2 recommendations, the project promoter could made 4 ones based on the project experience. A methodological handbook was edited, and after the professional comments, lecturing it was published. All relevant and concerned actors got a copy. The project contributed to the networking activities in this special field, to the transfer of knowledge and experience thus the isolation of these actors lowered and their cooperation was enhanced. The project also made a progress in the advocacy of these actors as relevant decision-makers were addressed and involved who became open to the conceived recommendations.
