Description

The base problem is the lack of protection of the ground water against the soil pollution. The pollution based on mainly the wrong agricultural methods and the heavy industrial activity. Widely planned local and national decisions must be taken against them. To fight against the problem must encourage natural farming methods on the targeted areas. Furthermore it has to be promote responsible life-style in the communities and networking in the villages of the region. The following methods and project activities will be implemented to achieve the project goals: - data collection (forms of ownership and farming methods, natural values, type of pollutants, etc.) - knowledge dissemination on actions, local events, trainings, etc.) - network establishing (on local and wider level, disseminating the micro-regional models concerning value protection and advocacy on national level) - communication (based on personal contacts) trough press materials, brochures, webpage, etc.

Summary of project results

The base problem was the lack of protection of the ground water against the soil pollution. The pollution based on mainly the wrong agricultural methods and the heavy industrial activity. During the fight against the problem in the project was encouraged natural farming methods on the targeted areas. Furthermore it has been promoted responsible life-style in the communities and networking in the villages of the region. In order to protect freshwater basins in the target region a data collection was implemented (forms of ownership and farming methods, natural values, type of pollutants, etc.). The collected knowledge was disseminated via local actions and events and trainings. A network was established on local and wider level with the aim of disseminating the micro-regional models concerning value protection and advocacy on national level. A wide range and active communication was implemented trough press materials, brochures, webpage. Due to this all the relevant actors were connected: small municipalities, local self governments, schools, local non-profit organizations, NGO's, inhabitants.
