Description

The target of our campaign is to raise the attention and to mobilize people against poverty. Our objective is to look for solution for the problems caused by poverty and social inequalities. In Miskolc, where our association is operating, the unemployment is high and the number of underprivileged people is growing. It endangers mostly children and the youth. They are more isolated during the summer, as they have no opportunity for traveling on holiday. Our campaign is a common fixed-riding and a grand fund raising in order to prove that we can act and help others. We would like to involve people living in our city and get them to swing into the saddle for the common purpose. Our project draws attention for tolerance and understanding. The amount gained from the fundraising will be used for three weekend-camps for underprivileged youth living in the district Vasgyár.

Summary of project results

The aim of this campaign has been the fight against poverty and to call attention to understand and alleviate the problems due to poverty and inequalities in society. We would like to show the opportunity to break out through sports. This campaign has been a common riding in one place, and also a huge fundraising in order to prove that it is possible to act in favor of others who are in need. The campaign has involved the residents of the town who swung into the saddle for a common goal in the heart of the town. The project has called attention to understanding and tolerance. The concrete aim of the action was the fundraising helping the Children’s Home. The organizer by the means that are already available will organize one charity event every year as continuation of the project. Beneficiary children did not take part in the program, they received personally the collected donation during the closing event.
