Description
This project is needed because of Insufficient knowledge of the elderly population in the City of Pozega. They are unaware of their rights and opportunities as well as the need to establish new and expansion of existing out of institutional services for the elderly, and providing of psychosocial support older unemployed persons. The overall objective of the action is to encourage the development, expand the community-based social services and reduce the risk of social inequality and exclusion of older people. Our targets are elderly people from the City of Pozega , with an emphasis on suburban areas which are cut off its position because of distance. The outputs of actions will be visible through a number of informative and interactive workshops, the number of participants in workshops, results of the questionnaire and the number of crimes reported violations of support etc.
Summary of project results
Civic Action "Corner for happier aging" for older persons from the City of Požega helped solve issues of insufficient information of the older population in their rights and possibilities.Target of civil action - getting to know the older population with the concept of the protection of fundamental human rights and the exercise of rights and opportunities and services provided to them in their community, there has been implementation of interactive workshops and producing and distributing brochures Guide for Seniors City Požega. There were 10 workshops in the field of safety and security of older persons, property rights and the exercise of rights from the social welfare system, and divided 1500 copies of the Guide for the elderly which includes all the services and activities provided to senior citizens of the City of Požega. The action is also equipped with a space that serves as a sort of information center and a place to obtain information on the provision of various existing and new institutional forms of care of the elderly population.
