Description

The two main stages that constitute the Oil and Gas Industry correspond to the work needed to enable extraction and to the engineering and construction of oil and gas tankers and pipe systems used to transfer the raw material to the refinery and the interconnection with power plants and the distribution networks. The Project will develop and obtain innovative products for the energy sector such as gas meters and gas collectors. In particular, Mecánica Industrial Buelna will achieve the following goals with the development of gas meters: i. Improve functionality and handling of gas meters. ii. Reduce environmental impact Regarding the development of gas collectors, the goals will be: i. Improve functionality and safety of the collectors ii. Reduce environmental impact iii. Troubleshooting customer's own design using 3D designs and computer modelling in order to achieve an improvement of the manufacturing process and the functionality of the gas collector during its life cycle.

Summary of project results

The INNOENERGY Project revolves around these two stages and also looks at involvement in later stages with the development and implementation of two innovative systems such as gas meters and gas collectors. At the same time the project covers the two main objectives of the EEA GRANTS program which are the participation of Spanish companies in the area of energy efficiency, climate change and environment, and also promoting the bilateral relationship with a donor country such as Norway. The main objectivfe of the Project was to develop innovative product for the energy sector. The impact is to implment innovative products in order to enhance energy production and reduce CO2 emissions. The output of the Project is linked to the market due to the interest to put innovative products in the real market.

Summary of bilateral results

The role of the donor partner has been to control and be focused on the evolution of the innovative product in orderto to get the final validation for the next serial production.
