Description

The aim of the project is to promote gender equality through empowering women and strengthening the capacity of the organisation networks in society. To achieve this the following activities are implemented in the framework of the sustainable and valuable development program: 1) open in-hall training to raise the public awareness about the need and possibilities to decrease the economic and social disparities; 2) women leaders training programme to develop leadership skills; and 3) building up Lean-In Circles for women. Circles are inspiration groups to learn and share together that are supported by the internet environment. All the activities are empowered by media releases, publicity and outdoor and social media. Intervention activities implemented during the project period have a long term impact reducing gender pay gap through decreasing the segregation in Estonia. As a result of the project BPW Estonia as a national network of business and professional women in Estonia has become a more professional source and promoter of women leaders in society and is able to provide better input to the policymaking.

Summary of project results

The goal of the project was to promote gender equality through empowering women and strengthening the capacity of the organisation networks in society. The project achieved its outputs contributing to the main goal. 1) open in-hall training to raise public awareness about the need and possibilities to decrease the economic and social disparities; 2) women leaders training programme to develop leadership skills; and 3) building up Lean-In Circles for women. Intervention activities implemented during the project period have a long term impact in the fight to reduce gender pay gap through decreasing the segregation in Estonia.
