Detection of a number of diseases is a complicated procedure or even unfeasible nowadays and medical staff lack tools enabling them to detect a variety of pathogens in human body in a rapid and more reliable manner. Yet the aging population and the increasing pressure put on the medical sector necessitate quicker solutions and more easily accessible tools. Analysing the immune system can serve as an innovative way of diagnosis. Project idea is to develop a biomarker platform, a software solution for the immune profiling platform that allows detecting changes in person’s health status using person’s antibody pattern analysis. The software solution is a tool for health care providers and will speed up the development of new diagnostic tests and significantly contribute to early diagnosis. Small grant scheme project activities concentrate on market research, competition study, customer needs study, environmental impact analysis. Project also involves the development of the platform concept, business strategy and partner search activities.
Summary of project results
The project was needed to develop a software solution called „Biomarker platform“ for health care providers that allows detecting changes in person’s health status using person’s antibody pattern analysis. The results are sustained through tight cooperation and future business activities together with donor partner. The objective of this small grant scheme project was to conduct market research, competition study, customer needs study, environmental impact analysis. Project also involves the development of the platform concept, business strategy and partner search activities. As all planned activities were conducted, the objective can be considered reached. The project directly contributes to the programme output as the project promoter has developed and assessed its business idea and has presented the results in the final report. Project promoter has involved one donor partner for open (main) call competion and has planned future activities for sustainable partnership.
