Generaadio is an internet community radio. Our mission is to offer free speech and discussion opportunities for communities and NGO-s. We are currently serving communities at Tartu, but we also have co-workers and listeners elsewhere in the world. This project will launch a community media professionally and visibly in Tartu. The goals are to map potential cooperation partners, new shows and audiences;to establish the development plan and communication strategy in collaboration with partners; to educate existing and new volunteers in the motivation, fundraising, public speaking, in media issues and decision-making processes; and to begin the preparation work with community partners for the new innovative multimedia platform, which helps to carry the voice of a civic society.
Summary of project results
Project promoter has violated the project contract nr E15-22.03-01-04-31 paragraphs 1, 5, 8 and 10. Project promoter repeatedly transferred funds from project bank account to personal accounts and paid for buying goods and services what are not related to the project implementation. All together 37 payments and transfers were made on total sum of 1939,92 euro. Since 1 April 2015 no project activities were started. After consulting with other program coordinators, lawyers and the director of the foundation, we have decided to cancel the whole project grant in accordance with paragraphs 6.2 and 20 of the project contact and to demand full repayment of the received grant in sum of 5029 euro.
