The main goal of the project is to use cooperation in order to strengthen organizations representing minorities. NGO Pärnu County Minority Nations Organization Raduga has already expanded outside the County of Pärnu therefore the name does not reflect its activities correctly. The focus of the project is to unite minority organizations across three counties under one well functioning umbrella organization. The project will give a cooperation experience; it will enhance the management capacity and member organizations will have equally clear understanding of the process of the project. As a result of the project „Under One Umbrella“ a new statute of the organization will be drafted; the goals, the mission and the vision will be set. The action plan for the time period 2014-2017 and development plan 2014-2020 will be drafted. Throughout the project there will be 1 think tank event, 2 meetups, 3 seminars and 4 workshops organized.
Summary of project results
NGO Pärnumaa Minority Nations Organization Raduga as the umbrella organization has expanded significantly in recent years. This has raised the need for new strategy and development plan of the organization. In addition, the organization needed to strenghten cooperation with the minorities' associations across the country to efficiently advocate the interests of smaller associations of the network. Therefore, the project was aimed at creating new development plan for the organization and strengthening unions of minorities through co-operation. For this 4 seminars, 4 workshops, 3 roundtables, 2 meetings, and 1 think-tank were held All in all 294 persons from minorities' associations took part in different activities. When preparing these seminars worksheets were elaborated, that key actors could use in their further work. In the course of the project the Development Plan 2014-2020 was also elaborated for the umbrella organization.
