Summary of project results

The purpose of the project was to ensure the development of Sillamäe Society for Child Welfare through creating a new development strategy and an action plan to implement it. The project achieved its primary goal of developing Sillamäe Society for Child Welfare’s new development strategy with a concrete implementation plan. The development of the strategy was created through a process of several stages involving members of the organisation, experts and partners from private and public sector. The main secondary goal was involving members of the organisation more thoroughly. Altogether 79 registered members of the organisation took part in the activities. The feedback was positive. The organisation’s general capacity and sustainability increased through a training program and a round table with Sillamäe City government and other local NGO-s. In the round table the development strategy document was developed and the organisation’s purposes and activities necessary for achieving those purposes were discussed. The event also received wide media coverage.
