Description

The project aims at advancing participatory leadership culture in Estonia through building the capacity of NGO Ruumiloojad and its network of leaders, social activists and civil organizations. Project will enhance skills and abilities to host strategic conversation and change processes. It will deepen capacity of 50 participants to lead various teams, organizations and community in a meaningful way, widen the current networks and share ways to work together. 3 training events will be organised during the project, and experts from international field will be invited to work as one team with Estonian practitioners: training on appreciative inquiry as a participatory method, graphic facilitation course, international participatory leadership training. A virtual booklet of participatory leadership will be published together with stories/methods on the webpage (www.kaasamine.ee). The partner for the project is NGO Arenguruum that supports the practical arrangements of the activities

Summary of project results

The project aimed at advancing participatory leadership culture in Estonia through the capacity building of NGO Ruumiloojad and its network of practitioners. In order to achieve this aim a number of activities were carried out to improve the skills of the participants, bring new methods and practices to everyday work and services, and widen the current network. In total 4 training activities were organised engaging a number of international trainers and practitioners in the field creating a learning space for 100 people (instead of 50 as planned). A number of volunteers from Ngo Ruumiloojad current network stepped in volunteer position to help with the execution of the project. A virtual book in Estonian on participatory leadership and the role of NGO-s in creating leadership culture is published and could be found on organisation's web-page (http://www.kaasamine.ee/kaasajate-kasvulava). In addition, and not planned, 7 video lectures were recorded about participatory leadership. A cooperation with Lithuania is being established and possibility for future training and cooperation seem to be emerging. NGO Ruumiloojad has raised its capacity to support diverse, long-term and complex participatory processes.
