Description

The project mini-kindergarten Emcéčko focuses on the promotion of equal opportunities and support for reconciling family and work life through the support and maintenance of existing childcare services for children aged 2 to 6 years old. The project aims to maintain the care services that are used primarily by women and parents of children under 3 years of age, including parents of children with special educational needs (SEN) returning to the labor market after maternity leave. In our kindergarten, we have created an environment where children feel good and are integrated into the children's collective without further disadvantage. This peace and feeling of safety can then also be manifested in the family, leading to a better balance between work, private and family life.

Summary of project results

This project provided care to children aged two to six in a mini-kindergarten (and nursery) in Valašské Meziříčí. We helped five families with children with special educational needs or disabilities. Considering their difficult financial situation, these parents needed to return to the labour marketafter parental leave. Objectives and planned outputs of the project have been fulfilled. The kindergarten was open daily from 6am to 4pm. The daily programme and activities were adapted to the individual needs and ages of the children and a qualified nurse focused on developing the skills of these children with special educational needs. We have created an environment where the children feel comfortable and are incorporated into a group of children without being further disadvantaged. The well-being and sense of security of our small clients manifested itself in their families as well, which helped to improve the balance between work life, private life, and family life.
