Description

The main aim of project is to connect theoretical part of environmental education with practical conservation of nature. The target group are students of primary and secondary schools, pupils with special educational needs as well as local citizens including seniors. We plan 8 new environmental programmes that will be designed primarily as outdoor activities. In addition, weekend programs for helping nature are proposed for instance planting trees, cleaning of wells and bird feeder workshop. We will provide several interactive lectures for local community. For all citizens of the town Prostejov, educational events such as Earth Day and Day of Trees will be organized at the main square.

Summary of project results

We realized sixty-six environmental educational programs for pupils and students of kindergartens, elementary and secondary schools within the project.Part of the program was prepared for students with special educational needs These activities followed a practical nature conservation. In total, we did nine events (cleaning wells, planting trees, production of bird feeders, raking hay, etc.) We prepared three great educational events, two lectures and one open day. The knowledges of the pupils, students and public about environmental and nature protection increased.
