Summary of project results

Social Dialogue 2001 is a member of a network of organizations working with young people and financed until 2014 by the - The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. 18 NGOs in total are active at district level as members of this network. It was necessary to develop and strengthen the existing informal network and register an association of the member organizations of the network to guarantee sustainability and continue the work for the benefit of young people. Only the Founding Assembly of the association took place prior to the launching of the project. A four-day training session too place under the project on networking and 25 representatives of youth organizations form the network and other NGOs working with and for young people took part in it. Next, a three-day working meeting with 50 NGO representatives took place and the strategy for the network development, a code of conduct, internal procedural rules and internal rules for financial audit were developed. At the end of the project some of the members of the informal network united and registered an NGO, National Youth Association (NYA). One member of NYA was officially accepted and membership requests were received from five more organizations. The project contributed to protection and development of the network of organizations that was weakened following the end of financing from the Global Fund. The invited organizations joined enthusiastically the project activities which helped strengthen the network. Goals were set and steps were outlined to keep and develop the network. The project helped the participants build skills for networking and helped motivate some of the organizations to keep working with young people. The network had its members and supporters increase. The capacity of the experts and volunteers was retained and developed.
