Description
The project addresses the applicant’s needs to review its vision and priorities and plan its development to meet the challenges of the fast-changing NGO environment. The project aims at building the applicant’s capacity through an organizational analysis and a strategic plan for the next 5 years. First, an organization consultant will carry out an organizational analysis. Second, the consultant will meet with the applicant’s team and discuss and reformulate the organizational mission, vision, priorities, goals, structure, resources, plans for future development and funding sources. Third, the applicant’s team will take part in a teambuilding and strategic planning event. Finally, a strategic plan for the sustainable development of the organization for the next 5 years will be developed. The project will benefit the applicant, its team, its clients (IDUs and the Roma) and its partners (the state and municipal authorities in the area of drug control and prevention of HIV/AIDS).
Summary of project results
The project addressed the project promoter’s needs to review its vision and priorities and plan its development to meet the challenges of the fast-changing NGO environment. The project activities and the support from a consultant in organizational development helped the organization have its mission renewed, its main priorities and goals, the organizational structure and potential sources of funding reviewed. Owing to the project the main target group, namely the team of Initiative for Health Foundation, had the opportunity to reconsider the organization’s identity, improve the processes of interaction and detailed planning of work. The team expects that financial sustainability will improve following the renewed information and analysis of the potential sources of funding. An organizational analysis and a strategic plan for the sustainable development of the organization for a 5-year-period were the project outputs.
