Summary of project results

The project addressed the need to help visually impaired people overcome their social isolation and communicate independently online. It helped 15 people with visual impairments to acquire and boost their computer literacy and thus acquire skills to support their social integration, take active part in the society, independently meet their need for knowledge, information and entertainment and have a chance to find a job. Thus these people had an opportunity for better and independent living, increased their social contacts, found new supporters to share and implement their ideas. Train the trainer session was held under the project for 5 people with visual impairments and 5 volunteers. Adapted teaching aids were developed including Guide for Computer Literacy in Braille that can be used to train other people with visual impairments after the project end.
