Second, the Young Volunteer Club will be set up in 5 schools and 50 students will take part in volunteering and project development training. Third, the community will be involved in the work of the organization via a series of community events for children and their parents (Fairy-tale Week, art workshops, family picnics). Finally, the NGO will start disseminating information about its activities via an e-bulletin. The project will benefit the applicant, the children and their parents and teachers in the local community and the local authorities.

Summary of project results

The project addressed the need of the applicant to build its capacity, expand its activity and be recognized by the target groups in Kazanluk Municipality as an NGO supporting children/young people. It was targeted at children and young people, volunteers and families from the community. Children volunteered in the initiatives called The Week of Fairy Tales, Outdoor Cinema and Meet the City and had the opportunity to take part in the planning and implementation of the initiatives. Children from 5 schools in Kazanlak Municipality took part in the activities of the Young Volunteer Clubs. A game was published under the project to introduce children in a user-friendly way to the opportunities for protection and work with the relevant specialists (speech therapist, psychologist, social worker, social pedagogue, occupational therapist). Three children’s playgrounds were renovated in the town of Kazanlak. In addition, a library was opened under the project in one of the Senior Care Centres in the town.
