Description

The project addresses the need to boost the applicant’s capacity to ensure its financial sustainability and continuity of its services and programmes, Zippy’s Friends Programme in particular. The project aims at boosting the applicant’s capacity through a series of trainings and workshops. First, 8 staff members will be trained in financial sustainability and diversification of sources of funding. Second, 2 one-day workshops will be held to train the staff to prepare a strategy for financial and organizational sustainability. Third, 15 staff members from Zippy’s Friends Programme will have a 1-day training on financial sustainability. Fourth, a code of conduct for cooperation with the business and a mechanism for publicity and transparency of donors will be developed. Finally, Zippy’s Friend’s support campaign will be launched among the business and the public. The project will benefit the applicant, its staff as well as the schools and students where Zippy’s Friends will be launched.

Summary of project results

The project addressed the need to boost the applicant’s capacity to ensure its financial sustainability and continuity of its services and programmes, Zippy’s Friends Programme in particular. An important project outcome was the analysis made of previous experience with the business which helped outline the good practices in the organizations’ cooperation with the business in the past. Sustainable opportunities for cooperation with the business and for getting access to funding for Zippy’s Friends Programme were identified. The Financial Stability Strategy that was developed and applied to the Zippy’s Friends Programme helped ensure the sustainability of this project and will be applied for the other programmes of the organization. The most important project outcomes are as follows: developed Strategy for the financial and organization stability of Animus Association Foundation (AAF); developed Code of Conduct for receiving donations from the business; broad promotion of Zippy’s Friends Programme among the representatives of the business, parents, children and teachers as well as among the specialists responsible for the education system in the area of Sofia City. Zippy’s Friends Programme is recognized by the parents and the stakeholders. Local communities, including managing municipal structures, children, parents and teachers got access to an efficient tool for solving topical issues of the communities related to prevention of aggressiveness and violence among school children.
