Description

The project addresses the need for more concerted efforts of NGOs targeting young people and youth policies in order to overcome their financial and organizational limitations and deliver better their services. The project aims at bringing together youth NGOs in a common platform that will enable them to better plan and implement their activities. First, an informal youth support network will be set up. Second, an online platform will be set up with a section open to the public and an intranet. Third, the network will be promoted in the universities across Bulgaria and supporters will be attracted. Training courses in fundraising, publicity and organizational management will be organized for the network members. Finally, contacts will be established with the institutions and businesses to achieve greater recognition. The project will benefit not only the 9 youth NGOs involved but also young people in these local communities.

Summary of project results

The project addressed the need for more concerted efforts of NGOs targeting young people and youth policies in order to overcome their financial and organizational limitations and deliver better their services. The main outcome is the organizational stability that each of the partner NGOs is currently enjoying due to the network, i.e. improved level of trust, the set communication and partnering framework, the strategic documents and guidelines. А web-based platform has been developed and is functioning (kauza.net) which serves as a resource spot for youth work online. Each of the three NGOs has a set of internal strategic documents developed. The organization is better equipped to attract and manage volunteers. IOA has obtained a certificate for quality management system meeting the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001:2008. The online presence and image of the beneficiary were boosted, jointly and individually as local youth NGOs.
