Description
The project outcomes can be divided in two main groups. (1.) Improved capacity at national, regional and local level to undertake energy-efficiency measures and renewable energy solutions - training programmes developed on 5 topics of energy-efficiency and renewable energy solutions. - trained staff of around 660 people from state and municipal institutions/authorities/civil servants who are directly engaged in the development, planning and implementation of energy efficiency and renewable energy solution measures; - 22 face-to-face 5-day trainings organized at different locations around the country; - 22 5-day distance learning trainings organized; - a product for training and for raising awareness on the topic of energy-efficiency and renewable energy solutions developed. (2.) Increased awareness of energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions - 2 press conferences organized; - 2000 informational flyers prepared and distributed; - 3 articles published in national newspapers; - information in Internet on a website.
Summary of project results
The specific objectives of the project proposal were to improve the administrative capacity to undertake energy efficiency measures and renewable energy solutions on national, regional and local level and to raise awareness of energy efficiency and solutions for utilization of renewable energy. The objectives of the project proposal correspond to the overall objectives of the EEA Financial Mechanism to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutants and to increase the share of renewable sources in energy demand. The final results of the project can be divided into two main groups: (1) Improved capacity at national, regional and local level to undertake energy efficiency measures and to implement renewable energy solutions - developed training programs on five topics of energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions; trained over 575 employees in state institutions and municipal authorities directly involved in the development, planning and implementation of energy efficiency measures and solutions in the field of renewable energy sources; organized and held 22 on-site training sessions lasting 5 days at various locations in the country; organized and held remote training; developed product training and awareness raising on the topics of energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions. (2) Increased awareness of energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions - organized two press conferences; developed and distributed 2000 pieces of information brochures; 5 articles published in electronic media; uploaded information on the web page of Balkan Institute for Labour and Social Policy.
