Description
The purpose of the project is to improve information on and control of flood risk and water resources management, as well as water reservoir operation in the Raba sub-basin, with the overall objective of minimizing flood damages and improved environmental conditions through better compliance with the EU Water Framework Directive and the EU Flood Risk Directive. Reference is made to the application, dated 11 April 2007 and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed project shall include the following activities and results: - Development of water management balance for the Raba sub-basin; - Determination of direct flood risk areas in the Raba sub-basin, including a set of flood risk maps - Purchase and installation of control and measurement instruments for the Dobczyce water reservoir. - Project management and publicity The Project Promoter is the Regional Board for Water Management in Krakow (Regionalny Zarzad Gospodarki Wodnej w Krakowie). The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible project costs.
