Description
The purpose of the Project is the renovation and revitalization of the Old Castle complex and the Habsburg Park in Zywiec with the overall objective of development of cultural activities in partnership with local NGOs, and increased tourism to the site and to the region. Reference is made to the application dated 10 April 2007 and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - public procurement for the construction works; - restoration, construction and renovation of rooms in the castle main building, the Eastern Annexes, stables, Cart House, Habsburg Park (pathways, historic fountain and bridge, China House); - purchase of equipment for the creation of a Cultural and Tourism Information Centre; - cooperation within the Polish-Norwegian partnership: the partnership is with NIKU for various cultural heritage activities - management and publicity. The Project Promoter is the Town Hall in Zywiec. The Project shall be implemented in partnership with the Norwegian Institute for Cultural Heritage Research (NIKU). The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the estimate eligible Project costs.
