Description
The purpose of the Project is to provide Brzozów Agglomeration with piped sewer services and ensure treatment of all collected wastewater in accordance with Polish National requirements and EC regulations with the overall objective of improving public health and ecology of surface and ground water bodies. Reference is made to the application, dated 4 September 2006, and response to request for additional information from the Focal Point dated 19 January 2007. The completed Project shall include the following activities: - Expansion of existing newer Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) from a capacity of currently 800 m3/day to 1,800 m3/day; - Construction of 18.93 km of sewer systems; and - Establishment of 10 sewage pump stations. The Project Promoter is the Municipality of Brzozów. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible Project cost.
