Description

The purpose of the Project is to stop movement of the rehabilitated rampart (underlying the Xara Palace Hotel and the outer edge of the Council Square), with the overall objective of initiating the stabilisation of the ramparts of Mdina's bastions. Reference is made to the application, dated 7 November 2005 and e-mail correspondence with the Focal Point dated 27 October 2006. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - Pilot Project of a consolidation intervention required at the Mdina bastions, where a twenty-five metre stretch underlying the Council Square will be consolidated. The Project Promoter is the Ministry for Resources and Infrastructure - Works Division (Restoration Unit). The Project Promoter shall provide at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible project cost.
