Description

In the village is an enormous development of culture and folk traditions and development of creative workshops organised by the public services, basic school, Union of Women in Slovakia and the other relevant organisations. The current problem is, that there is no place and any other basis for meetings and presentation, promotion of traditional crafts, etc.. Establishment of the new cross – border partnerships/ network and support of existing partnerships in the field of presentation, promotion, preservation and regeneration of traditional crafts and its products, regional cultural traditions and heritage, local culture and historical specifics of cross – border countries and its usage in the field of tourism and also the joint innovative initiatives in the field of employment, public services. 1.Initiation and support of joint access on the regional a local level towards cross border area development through the establishment of the Centre of traditional crafts, cultural traditions. 2.Conservation and regeneration of cultural and historical specifications and traditions of cross – border area and their usage in tourism through the realisation of activities focused on promotion of traditional crafts and their products.3.Improvement of joint cooperation in the field of employment, education and public government and services. Target groups: children, younger adults, unemployed people. Special and technical role of the partner in the project is the organisational and technical participation on the project activities, especially organisation of panel exhibition of traditional culture and presentation of their procedures and techniques in Slovakia and also organisation of panel exhibition of Slovak and Ukrainian artists in Norway. Partnership will achieve enlargement of cultural and communication relations, efficient support to intensification of cooperation of institutions, networking and common initiatives in the sustainable development of the cross border area.

Summary of project results

The substance of the cultural event in the municipality is the folk-art creation as part of a live culture and creative workshop in the area of decorating and painting Easter pendants, traditional and untraditional decorating techniques, Easter basket arrangements, bobbin lace, cardboard and embroidery, hand embroidery, jewelry and decorative items from wire, service cracking technology, clay products on potter's circle, knitting and weaving of carpets from waste handles on backpacks. The problem was the lack of space and an unprecedented basis for meeting and presenting or promoting traditional crafts and their products, regional cultural traditions and heritage, local culture. The project created new and support existing partnerships in the field of presentation, promotion, preservation and regeneration of traditional crafts and their products, regional cultural traditions and heritage, local culture and historical features of the border region and their use in tourism as well as joint innovative initiatives in the area of employment, the provision of public services. 1. The initiation and promotion of common approaches at regional and local level to the development of the border area was achieved through the establishment and equipment of the Center of Traditional Crafts, Cultural Traditions and Heritage. The center was established within the framework of a municipal office and an amphitheater built in the municipality of Nižná Olšava. 2. Conservation and regeneration of the cultural and historical features and traditions of the border region and their use in tourism through activities aimed at promoting traditional crafts and their products, regional cultural traditions and heritage, local culture was achieved through the "Soft activities" of joint events implemented within the project. 3. Improving mutual cooperation in the field of employment, education and administration and municipal services.
