Description
The project is needed due to the lack of sufficient mobility opportunities for students towards the EEA countries, the socio-economic situation of the beneficiaries and the need for exchange of professional knowledge for students and staff. The main objective of the project is the development of the academic community o fDanubius University that is materialized in: development of beneficiaries’skills, diversifying types of mobility and implementing internationalization strategy. The project outcomes are: extending the current agreements, increasing the number of beneficiaries, identifying good practices, implementing innovative ideas and spreading the word about the EEA professional experience. The projects outputs will be 6 outgoing mobility (2 students, 2 teachers, 2 staff) and 2 incoming teaching mobility. The target groups for this call of proposals are students and academic and administrative staff. Our partners are Bifrost University and University of Liechtenstein and they will cooperate for successful mobility implementation. g. The partnership will achieve an enhanced cooperation and will generate further project ideas.
Summary of project results
Danubius University will propose it’s EEA Partners the further development of aCommune Intercultural Center with corresponding offices in Galati and their headquarter under the umbrella of the International offices of the partner Universities. Considering the results of the project, the partners will achieve an increasing efficiency of communication resulting in future mobility projects using different mobility programs like Erasmus+ or future EEA Grants. At the start of the partnership as a planned result it was a better cooperation and intercultural understanding between partner universities. Danubius Univeristy achieved during the EEA agreement the following: - Two student mobilities carried out at Bifrost University. - Two training mobilities carried out at Bifrost and Lichiestienin Universities. - Two teaching mobilities carried out at Bifrost University As planed there were two more incoming mobilities that had to be carried out but the partner did not follow up the planification and declined the undergoing of them in the last moment. As a result at the visit of Karl Erikson the head of international office of Bifrost University, we were notified that in to the next application they will promote Danubius University in order to obtain a bigger number of mobilities.
Summary of bilateral results
The partnerships lead to the developing of further personal connections between teachers, staff members and students of each university involved, not only in similar fields of activity, leading to continuous professional exchange of knowledge and good practices between the partner Universities. We assist at a continuous process of strengthening relations between the countries where ties already exist in part due to the outgoing mobilities. We consider, following the experience of the previous call, that into the near future the partnership will lead to a better cooperation extended to each other’s partners in a broader European and International academic network, who will complete the mobility activities of the program and also the possible common research projects. The knowledge and learning development was disseminated throughout the partner’s websites and other academic publications.
