Description

Making Professional Opportunities For Young Artists is a project targeting the performing arts domain in which young artists who graduate from art school need to acquire experience in order to fully develop their artistic skills. In the context of the Romanian society, the professional opportunities in art are very limited and yearly we see many artists graduating having very few options to perform the art they’ve studied. The main results of the project will be the full professional growth of the participants, with new opportunities ahead, new and diverse cultural offers for society, new connections between artists to ensure future diversity and representation for the communities they belong to. The project consists of woking with young actors to create a performance based on a text written by Slawomir Mrozek, a Polish writter. The performance will take place 25 times, in Sibiu and 10 other cities: Mediaș, Avrig, Alba-Iulia, Sebeș, Râmnicu Vâlcea, Brașov, Râșnov, Rupea, Făgăraș. The main results of the project will be the full professional growth of the participants, with new opportunities ahead, new and diverse cultural offer for the society, new connections between artists to ensure future diversity and representation for the comunities they belong to.

Summary of project results

The project was implemented in order to support the penetration of young artists in performing arts to cultural market. The main objective of the project was development of professional opportunities for beginner artists in Sibiu. The project's impact is represented by the demonstration of professional capacities of young artists involved in the project and their contact with well - known artists and with cultural organisations. The main planned outcome of the project was the production of a show with the participation of young artists. The assumed outcomes were totally reached. The main outputs delivered were 25 performances, 4 young artists, 1 director, 1 choreographer and 1 scenarist involved. The young artists were directly involved in production of the show. The public had the opportunity to see the performances. The main benefit of the project was the public exposure of the young artists.
