Description
The project is an initiative of the Voivodeship Police Headquarters (the applicant), the VPH in Rzeszów, the VPH in Białystok, theVPH in Olsztyn and the Prevention and Traffic Police Bureau of the National Police Headquarters. The project will include, among others, training workshops on international searches for fugitives from justice, training seminars on fight against smuggling and itinerant criminal groups, training in safe cross-border hot pursuit - training in safe driving in crisis situations, English and Ukrainian language courses. The project will also include an information and educational campaign on the prevention of trafficking in human beings. Exchange of information between project partners will result in the creation of a bank of good investigative and preventive practices for preventing and combating cross-border and organised crime, including trafficking in human beings and fight against itinerant criminal groups.
Summary of project results
The security of the external EU borders constitutes the security of all citizens of Europe and Schengen Zone. Within the frameworks of the project seminars and workshops (400 participants), as well as language courses for police officers and employees (516 participants) have been organized. Also 360 police officers have raised skills on safe driving. The core goal of the project was to exchange the knowledge, experience and best practices concerning organized and cross-border criminality preventing and combating, including human trafficking and the migration of criminal groups. And on that basis, algorithms and solutions regarding the higher level of security, lover number of cross-border criminals, migration of criminal groups, limitations of trafficking in human beings have been prepared. All those achievements have better the ability of police services concerning preventing and combating criminality and strengthening the cooperation between units responsible for trafficking in human beings.
