Summary of project results

The need for the project based on the observation and increased interest in issues of environment and climate change taking place. This created a need to change the educational offer in order to adaptation of the demand for specialists in this field. On the universities in PL is not propose such integrated postgraduate studies the research indicate that is interest. The aim of the project is was the elaboration and implementation of innovative programs of study taking into account designing of the integrated energy efficient construction in accordance with the principle of sustainable development. The integrated designing consisted in selected the right location and the right location for the construction facility, the selected of block (shape, size), the use of energy efficient and durable construction materials, and also in designing installations with application of renewable energy sources. The ability to design buildings enlarged the energy efficiency of buildings, and thus reduced the emission of pollutants and the negative climate changes. Implementation of the project had the task of training personnel, who will had an effective knowledge related to environment and climate changes. This staff will be properly prepared for the integrated design of buildings, taking into account the principle of sustainable development and the use of renewable energy sources. Studies were directed to students who have completed at least a bachelor’s degree and especially at graduates in architecture and urban planning, civil engineering, engineering and environmental protection. The project also provided for close cooperation with partners from industry (design, construction) in order to ensure a direct transfer of knowledge from universities to companies, industry. 50 people began the science studies, and the semester exam was attended by 37 people, all of whom graduated from it with a positive result.
