Description

The project will address the following main problems: the inequality in the competences of the employees in child day centers and open youth centers; the lack of adequate knowledge and skills to work with children, youth and families; the lack of universal programs for children, youth and family; and the lack of opportunities to improve qualification. The project aims to increase the well-being of children and youth at risk by improving the competences of employees and volunteers. The target group of the project are professionals and volunteers who improve their professional competences in child day centers (226 persons), and professionals and volunteers who improved their professional competences in open youth centers and open spaces (110 persons). Enhanced competence of this target group will respond to the needs of the children and youth at risk and their family members, and improve the availability and quality of psychosocial service. The help given by this staff to children and young people will contribute to these children's physical, emotional and social well-being. Project will be implemented with two partners.

Summary of project results

Summary of bilateral results

During implementation of the Project Project partner – youth club „Ungdom and Fritid“ - shared it's experience in working with youth and volunteers. The Partner organised Study visit in Norway for five employes of Project promoter. During the visit the members visited different youth centers and shared the best practices. The Partner presented and suggested ideas what methods and programs could be applied and implemented for Lithuanian day care centers. Collaboration with the Norwegian partner improved knowledge and understanding between Project partners.
