Description

Natatoriums generally consume over five times more energy than the average commercial building and the energy consumption is a big challenge for the owners. The objective of the project is the combined exploitation of solar and geothermal energy in order to cover the heating requirements of swimming pools and the demands for domestic hot water at the “Municipal” Natatorium of Nafplio. The project is expected to achieve the increase of renewable energy consumption, to strengthen awareness and education in the sustainable use of renewable energy and to improve the quality of life of the local community. The main beneficiaries of the project will be the local citizens and the visitors with dissemination activities also generating awareness among the broader public.
