Description

The project aims to fight against the Gender Digital Divide which refers to the gap between men and women in the access and use of IT Technology. The project aims to address this gap plan and set our goal by increasing both vulnerable and rural women to a new 2.0 job market and to a technological environment through experiencing a sustainable process of empowerment and qualification in IT. The specific goals of the project are as follows: -To offer several groups of women with a favourable disposition to IT resources, empowerment and whatever resource needed to them, in order to provide them the possibility to gain the professional qualification of “IT Coach for Equality” -Provide in those women far away or distant to IT Technology specific skills to ensure a better inclusion in the 2.0 labour market. Partnership has been configured so that it provides consistent support to the project given the great experience of Foundation CEPAIM and the Red Cross in the employability of women in social risk.

Summary of project results

The project aims at improving the ability to assess the 2.0 labour market for vulnerable women and women that live in rural areas. Moreover it promotes their access to technology through a sustainable process both in terms of personal empowerment and TIC qualifications. The Project offers vulnerable women and women that live in rural areas (who have a positive attitude towards technology) the means, training and support needed in order to start entering the labour market as Dinamizadoras TIC for equality. Furthermore, it provides basic competencies with technology, enabling them to enter the 2.0 labour market. This experimental project provides the technical support and resources to create a sustainable process for their inclusion in the 2.0 labour market. . All the activities designed at the beginning of the project has been developed. These include selections of the professionals, coordination between partners, diffusion of the project, public event at the beginning of the project, development of Key I for 3 groups of women, development of Key II, grants for the public transport, virtual space for the connection and interchange between participants and the staff, closing ceremonies at the end of the project in Madrid and teruel as well as publication.
