Summary of project results

The project Enhebrando responds to the need to address the uniqueness of the socio-economic situation of rural women in Spain. The main objective is to promote the enterprising attitude of women through the revaluation of the traditional trades. To achieve this objective various activities have been carried out with the collaboration of the partners: creation of the website www.enhebrando.es, a national survey of women in the traditional trades, days of visibility of the project, training courses in traditional trades, a comprehensive program of counseling and coaching, awards for business excellence and a virtual catalog of craftswomen, all with a total impact on 7,500 beneficiaries. Once the project is developed, there is a commitment to maintain updated both the web as the virtual catalog of artisans, as well as responding to the demand for new training initiatives in the communities of Cantabria and Castilla.
