Description

Project was needed, because TUT have a lot collaboration between Norway HEI`s and there are not enough support schemes available for staff mobility. Mobility project focused on the development of TUT`s strategic partnership with Norwegian universities. To ensure the quality level in academic and scientific performance, the region institutions should benefit from each other`s competences and best practises. Expected outcome future cooperation e.g. joint research, academic and comparative case studies; visiting lectures and student exchange between TUT and partner institutions. TUT`s impact is to preparea structural change and also a new development plan for next 5 years. Staff members benchmarked our Norway partners and teaching staff learned new methods. The cooperation between TUT and University of Oslo has been almost institutional from last year and this project is one of the enablers in these relations. The wider effects of the project are the rise of knowledge, awareness and professional network building for TUT staff members.

Summary of bilateral results

Partnership with University of Oslo has a long-term history and is also going on in many different fields. Institute of Energy Technology is new partner for us, but this collaboration has a great potential in the future both in academic and in reasearch fields. University of Bergen is still a partner for us, but this project was not successful with them.
