Description

Hotel Gela is a small family hotel located in the Rhodope mountain near the town of Smolyan and it lacks capacity to meet the increasing demand at the tourist market. Energy consumption per m2 is relatively high, and so is the energy cost per accommodation. By implementing the Norwegian expertise for innovatie use of green technologies and natural resources, hotel Gela will be developed as a green enterprise. The outputs of the project are related to: 1). design and construction, according to green business standards, a new part (enlargement) of the hotel in order to reduce emissions to air, water and soil; 2). Design and installation of solar panel system in order to reduce emissions to air and improve cost-efficiency, and a waste water treatment module in order to reduce waste water emissions to water and ground; 3). Obtain Certificate for green hotels; 4). The company turnover and profitability is expected to increase after the implementation of the project. The design works and selection of technologies will be performed by the Norwegian partner. The project will also support small-scale producers, farmers and inn keepers that offer local, environmentally friendly food.
