The Global Fund for Decent Work and Tripartite Dialogue
Project stories, news and features
“The project has helped raise awareness of the importance of tripartite social dialogue at both regional and national level, and the necessity of active social partners in developing public policy.”
The Global Fund for Decent Work and Tripartite Dialogue has improved practices and social dialogue structure and increased understanding of Decent Work principles.
A call for bids for a review of the Norway Grants funding to Decent work and Tripartite dialogue is now open.
The Global Fund has made a valuable contribution to strengthening social dialogue and ensuring that beneficiary countries are better placed to address decent work objectives, such as life-long learning and improving health and safety at work.
“Having regular meetings with the Norwegian Transport Workers Federation opens a window on what social dialogue can look like in practice," says Jüri Lember, President of the Estonian Seamen’s Independent Union (EISU).
Today we celebrate Labour Day – known as May Day in some countries – it is a good day to mark social progress and better living and working conditions.
Through the Grants, Norway provides € 8 million for projects promoting the decent work agenda and foster tripartite dialogue.
