Description

The Romanian Municipality of Teius is home to a large number of Roma children and youth at risk of poverty and social exclusion. The main objective of the project is to improve the school situation for children at risk through the creation of a community center. This objective will be fulfilled by providing socio-educational services in the center, setting up a schedule with school parents, running a campaign of the importance of school in the community, and creating a network of local professionals in social education. The beneficiaries will be children aged 3-15 years, parents / guardians / family members and socio-educational specialists. 70 children, mostly Roma, will be involved in the project activities, 110 parents will be informed and counseled. 20 members of the local network of specialists and 250 community members will be informed through an awareness raising campaign. The project envisages to respond to limited access to socio-educational support programs for children aged 3-15 years in order to support their future social integration and prevention of early school leaving.
