Project description: Quattro is a shoe manufacturer. The aim of the project is to invest into innovative production technology, which allows for the use of waterborne glue in shoe production. Implementation of the project will increase the production capacity, lead to its "greening", and decrease the production costs, due to lower energy costs not only because of the introduction of new machines into the production line, but also thanks to installation of photovoltaic cells on the roof of the plant and thermo modernisation of the production halls. Project objectives: • Efficiency increase • Higher production quality, shoe creation precision Outcome indicators: • Number of environmental technologies successfully applied for use in new areas - 1 • Reduction in CO2 emissions – 88 tones/ year
Summary of project results
The project involved an investment in a technology enabling the use of waterborne glue in shoe production. The second objective was to reduce the energy consumption of the production process, not only by putting new machines in place, but also by installing photovoltaic cells on the roof of the plant and improving thermal efficiency of the production halls. This investments will result in reduction of CO2 by 88 tones/year.
