Description
Project description: Rymatex operates in the abrasives sector, producing technical textiles made of glass rowing, glass fibre meshed used for making disk on a hand-held rotary grinding machine. The main goal of the project is the introduction of a new technology of cutting and grinding discs production. The new technology will reduce volatile organic compounds (VOC) emissions (70%). Partners: The project will be implemented in cooperation with OTTO Engineering. Project objectives: • Production volume increased by 50% in present facilities • Tear resistance/lifetime of product increased by 5 - 10% • Higher quality/safety due to new production technology Outcome indicators: • Number of environmental technologies successfully applied for use in new areas - 1 • Green jobs created – 1 new green jobs • Reduction of CO2 emissions – 0,5 tones/ year • Reduction of VOC emission - 262 kg/ year
Summary of project results
The main objective of the project was to implement a new technology for production of cutting and grinding (abrasive) discs. That enabled lower energy consumption resulting in reduction of CO2 emissions by 0,5 tones/ year by 50% lower energy usage of production unit. Investment also resulted in reduction of emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOC) by 70%.
