Description

The objective of the project is raising the competences of prison staff by making available professional development training programmes, specialist courses and postgraduate studies in the operation of IT systems for the documents circulation and human resources management. The project will supplie tools to improve the management of correctional facilities and ensure that the employees receive proper training. The system which will be established in the process shall collect all data necessary for maintaining a human resources policy, qualifications, training, periodic medical examinations and occupational health and safety. Such central database in conduction within the extensive mechanisms for analysis and reporting should significantly improve the efficiency of the human resources management. Training 1 000 of teachers and users of the system for the management of human resources as well as 250 teachers and 10 000 users of the system for electronic distribution of documents is planned.

Summary of project results

The main objective of the project was to facilitate the management of correctional facilities by modernization of existing systems for collecting all data necessary for maintaining a human resources data as well as to raise the competences of Prison Service staff by providing professional courses, training programmes and postgraduate studies raising their abilities in the operation of IT systems.The software for HR & payroll management system for officers of Prison Service was developed. 96 people participating in the implementation team’s works were trained (target value: 38). 48 trainers (target value: 24) were trained to operate of the system. 1 068 users of the system for the management of human resources completed training (target value: 1000). Moreover, software and equipment for the mobile labs of the Prison Services organisational units were purchased.The electronic document management system were implemented in the organizational units of the Prison Service. The training for 10 000 people raising their abilities in the operation of the system for electronic distribution of documents were carried out.Training courses were conducted for 20 administrators and 230 trainers for the Electronic Document Management System. The system manuals were printed and distributed for the users of the system.
