Description
Project will be conducted in the partnership between Poland and Norway from 1.09.2013 to 31.12.2014 in: Norway (Oslo, Norheimsund, Gratangen), in Poland (Gdańsk, Kąty Rybackie) and Germany (Rostock). Project leader will be Polish Maritime Museum (PMM), partners will be: Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage ( Riksantikvaren ) in Oslo and Hardanger & Voss Museum from Utne. Cooperation will be based on: exchange of expert know how in maritime crafts which disappear (boat building and rope making) knowledge exchange and working out common good practices connected to documentation of maritime cultural heritage working out and implementation of education programmes which promote maritime cultural heritage among the local societies in the way, that they overcome accessibility and exclusion, promotion of knowledge about redundant crafts and cultural diversity through participation in the Hanse Sail festival in Rostock and common open air event in Katy Rybackie

Summary of bilateral results
Cooperation based on: - exchange of expert know-how in maritime crafts which disappear (boat building and rope making) - knowledge exchange and working out common good practices connected to documentation of maritime cultural heritage working out and implementation of education programmes which promote maritime cultural heritage among the local societies in the way, that they overcome accessibility and exclusion, promotion of knowledge about redundant crafts and cultural diversity through participation in the Hanse Sail festival in Rostock and common open air event in Katy Rybackie. In both countries there is no common and clear system of documentation of traditional boats and ships. During the Project, three partners presented problems in their countries, exchanged experience and elaborated system of boat building artefacts documentation. Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage deal with i.a.: documentation of nautical objects, using innovative methods Also PMM in Gdansk has large experiences in this field, partners have interest in exchanging these experiences.
