Description
Six cities and municipalities in one of the most populated areas of Silesia with a vibrant economic potential will cooperate with the aim to tackle unemployment, migration, degradation of the environment and the decline in the number of businesses and growth. The project will support the cities and municipalities with developing socially, economically and environmentally degraded areas. The aim is the revitalisation of public spaces of the Przemsza and Brynica Valley by creating the Zagłębie Park.
Summary of project results
The aim of the project was to strengthen cooperation between entities within the functional area and changing the image of the region (Zagłębie Dabrowskie) through the recomposition of green areas. Indispensable technical documentation allowing investments in green infrastructure was consulted with the residents of this area so number of solutions were developed by consensus. Due to the nature of the project and also widely consulted activities, during the implementation of project partnership has expanded from 18 to 25 members. Planned activities become so attractive for this area that has been enlisted to the so-called territorial contract which guarantees financing for the developed solutions in the future.
