Description

The project is the result of the need to adapt to the new and stricter requirements for environmental protection regulations introduced by a new Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council 2010/75/EC of 24.11.2010 on industrial emissions which will be applicable as from 1.01.2016. The objective of the project is to reduce the adverse environmental impact of fuel combustion (boilers), and also to: reduce the environmental costs of power generation; ensure the continuity of heat and electric energy generation at Synthos Dwory 7; and increase energy security. The project will result in the following reduction in emission of harmful substances (SO2, NOx, dusts) into the atmosphere: SO2 - by 456.5 Mg; NOx - by 206 Mg; and Dusts - by 4.8 Mg. This will directly benefit the society of the town of Oswiecim, and indirectly benefit the inhabitants of the Małopolska and Silesian Provinces.

This was directly benefit the society of the town of Oswiecim, and indirectly benefit the inhabitants of the Małopolska and Silesian Provinces. The project has a positive impact on the environment, achieved their targets and indicators.
