Description

The project aims to improve the condition of the buildings and to reduce the heating costs, which are currently a substantial problem for the local community. The main objective is to improve thermal efficiency and the level of renewable energy exploitation in a number of public buildings. The project is also a response to new environmental protection requirements. Its realization will reduce heating loss and diminish energy costs, at the same time as it will improve the working environment in the buildings. A reduction of air pollution will have a positive effect on the natural environment. Specific actions of the project include the instalment of a heat recovery and photovoltaic system in Dom Sportowca "MOSiR" [Sportsman House] and the improvement of thermal efficiency in Primary school no 1 and Self-governmental Kindergarten no 3. The inhabitants of Sanok are the key target beneficiaries of the project. Projects material scope has been extended, additional works have been co-financed under NFM.

Summary of project results

Low buildings standards and high heating costs were a substantial problem for the local community. The main projects objective was to improve thermal efficiency and the level of renewable energy production in public utility buildings. Investments was also a response to new environmental protection requirements. Thermomodernisational works covered 4 public utility buildings (including school and kindergarten), Within the project over 15 thousands of m2 of partition were insulated, old windows and doors were replaced. 3 interior installations were modernised, 398 photovoltaic cells and one heat pump installed. Also lighting was exchanged for ecological one. Investment allowed to reduce CO2 emission (1091 Mg/year) and to improve educational conditions in buildings. Thermomodernisation has also well affect the image of establishments. Projects material scope has been extended, additional works have been co-financed under NFM.
