Description

The need for the implementation of the project is related to Programme Agreement objectives as it leads to the necessity of achievement of specific assets. This investment contributes directly to the achievement of sustainable results in terms of: Implementation of the indicator “Increase in the number of public buildings undergoing thermomodernization” – modernization of one building (Premises of The International University of Logistics and Transport in Wroclaw) Implementation of the indicator “Increase in the number of machinery, equipment or installations of renewable energy” – Installation of photovoltaic panels (total power of 40 kW) in order to create the power energy of 39678,7 kWh per year. Improving of energy efficiency in buildings and increase in the production of energy from renewable sources. Prevention of heat loss in order to ensure a suitable temperature in the premises. The maximum reduction of energy consumption, which will result in financial savings, as well as to increase the beneficial environmental effect. The best way to reduce energy consumption is to rationalize its use or replace conventional energy with alternatives, primarily from renewable sources. Another way to achieve this is through the use of efficient lighting sources. Students and other participants of education activities within University as well as employees.

Summary of project results

Projects implementation has contributed to improving of energy and economic efficiency in the International University of Logistics and Transport in Wrocław. Thermomodernisational works covered its building, thanks to them after projects ending costs connected with building usage will be lower. Within the project over 3,6 thousands of m2 of partition were insulated, interior lighting was exchanged for ecological one (1280 lighting points have been replaced). Installed were also photovoltaic cells (141). Investment allowed to reduce CO2 emission (227 Mg/year). Students and other participants of education activities within University as well as employees are projects beneficiaries.
