Description
The need for the project stems from expectations and social needs and the necessity of implementation of EU policy in the field of reducing emissions. The main problem of the applicant – the Iławski District – that decides on an application is the need to improve energy efficiency in buildings which remain in the resources of the district: Constitution of May 3 Complex of Schools in Iława, Irena Kosmowska Complex of Schools in Susz and the District Road Administration in Iława. The specific objective of the project is the following: improving the conditions for studying and working in public institutions belonging to the applicant. Expectations related to the implementation of the project: reduction of CO2 emissions, improving the energy efficiency of the thermal efficiency improved buildings, rational and cost-effective use of thermal energy and the use of renewable energy, increasing the number of the thermal efficiency improved public buildings, improving the conditions for working and studying, reduction of operating costs, raising awareness about the legitimacy of RES, increasing awareness among residents in the field of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution through the thermal efficiency improvement of buildings. Implementation of the project substantially affects the solution to the problem of improving energy efficiency in buildings that remain in the resources of the district. The project will contribute to reducing CO2 emissions. The target group of the project is quite large, it covers all residents of the Iławski District and the neighboring districts. Projects material scope has been extended, additional works have been co-financed under NFM
Summary of project results
The main goal of the investition was to improve energy efficiency in public utility buildings which remain in the resources of the Iławski district. By this actions it was possible to achieve CO2 reduction and rational and cost-effective use of energy. Very important was also to improve conditions for working and studying for district inhabitants and raise awareness about the RES. Thermomodernisational works covered 4 public utility buildings (including schools). Within the project over 6,6 of m2 of partition were insulated, 326 of m2 of window frames were replaced. Installed were 24 solar collectors, 135 photovoltaic cells and one biomass boiler. Modernised were 4 interior installations. Investment allowed to reduce CO2 emission (923 Mg/year) and to increase energy production from RES (785 MWh/year). Projects material scope has been extended, additional works have been co-financed under NFM.
